Chapter 36: Singular Focus Will Change Your Life

There’s a quote that’s been stuck in my head:

At least not all at once…

It’s a reminder: focus isn’t optional, it’s the whole game.

For the past 35 weeks, I’ve sent you this letter based on an idea I’m wrestling with or a lesson that’s shaped my life.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: singular focus will change your life.

When you commit fully to one thing, everything gets easier.

Decisions, priorities, momentum — all of it falls into place.

But most people (I’m guilty myself) slip into a trap.

Spreading yourself too thin.

Saying yes to everything.

Juggling 14 projects and wondering why nothing feels like it’s moving fast enough.

The Pain of Being Spread Thin

I’ve lived this for months.

I’ve scripted, shot, and edited ~217 short videos…

Added 30K+ friends on the internet…

Worked with founders and brands 1:1…

Launched a second newsletter…

Traveled to four countries…

And in between all that?

I’ve overcomplicated things.

Stretched my capacity to the breaking point.

& Spent more time doing everything instead of doubling down on what matters most.

I’ve grown, but not at the pace I know is possible when I’m fully focused.

I had to get brutally honest about my capacity for 1:1 work.

If I take on too many clients, I can’t give them the depth of focus they deserve and I lose time for the long-term projects that will have the biggest impact.

So I made a decision:

I’m putting a cap on 1:1 spots…

And putting my energy into something that lets me help far more people at once.
